Alongside our workshops and classes for the general public, which are open to interested dancers of any age and ability, Nonsuch also provides more intensive training courses for those with some experience, such as professional dancers looking to broaden their skillset, actors working in classical plays or costume drama or teachers and choreographers with an interest in developing their rang

Nonsuch have provided period movement and historical dance workshops for drama and dance schools, and assisted the Early Dance Circle with their series of Masterclasses, hosted at RADA as part of Big Dance Week. For actors on professional training courses, period movement can be a vital tool to working with Shakespeare and other classical texts. Darren Royston long association with training professionals, specifically those who are not from a primarily dance background, gives Nonsuch a unique ability to deliver effective training in this area.

Artistic director, Darren Royston, is much in demand as a choreographer, most specifically for period productions on stage and on screen. Nonsuch can also provide dancers for background work, and train your actors within the production to execute the dances effectively and creatively within the confines of any timeframe or budget. Nonsuch dancers have appeared in a diverse range of TV shows from Dr Who to the Armstrong and Miller show!

Nonsuch is also always interested in hearing from professional dancers who would like to be considered for the performing company, and can provide specific training for those who are new to the field of historical dance.
